There are fabulous walks across the headlands to secret coves rarely visited except by birds and the ghosts of ancient smugglers.

Mwnt

Mwnt - a national trust beach with a view of Cardigan Island to the left.

"Last August we spent three brilliant afternoons at Mwnt beach below Blaunwaun Caravan Park. Each day our friends cycled over from Canllefaes Cottages to watch the dolphins swim and play in the bay."

Aberporth

Aberporth  beach can be viewed in comfort from Penffynnon properties.

"We stayed in Morawel the former sea captains house at Penffynnon. Each morning before breakfast we walked along the deserted beach. It was so peaceful, just the sound of the waves gently breaking on the golden sands".

Llangrannog

Llangrannog - a short walk from Pigeonsford Gardens

We cycled from Cardigan and stayed at Pigeonsford Farmhouse, we walked up to the headland over looking Ynys Lochtyn and back around to Llangrannog. There we sat on the beautiful beach and just relaxed…

Comments. At low tide you can walk round to the second beach, or by a footpath with steps at any time. A circular walk can be followed around the headland.

Dogs are prohibited from sections of certain beaches between 1st May and 30th September under the local byelaw. The restrictions do not apply to a guide dog accompanying a registered blind person.
