Dolphin watching trips and steam train journeys are always popular, and this lovely stretch of Heritage coastline encompasses many safe sandy beaches including Clarach with its rock pools (1½ miles) and Borth (5 miles). Whilst easily accessible via good roads, the narrow winding lanes and rolling hills of this delightfully unspoilt region of Wales are all part of its considerable charm. Aberystwyth itself boasts a good selection of shops, entertainments, pubs and eateries, cinema and arts centre as well as golf and indoor leisure facilities.
